Jorge Conway

Jorge Conway was born on June 1987, in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, to a family with a strong tradition of intellectual curiosity. He grew up surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, which would later influence his fascination with climate science. Jorge excelled academically at the local public school, particularly in mathematics and physics, and was admitted into the prestigious Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto (FCUP) to study Physics.

At FCUP, Jorge delved deeper into the world of physics and mathematics, with a special focus on climate science. He pursued a Master's degree in Climate Science at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich, England, where his research focused on the impacts of climate change on coastal ecosystems. After completing his graduate studies, Jorge began his career as a researcher at the National Oceanography Centre (NOC), working on projects related to ocean acidification and its effects on marine life.

Jorge is now a respected expert in his field, often sought after for advice and consultation by governments, NGOs, and private companies. He is deeply committed to addressing climate change, which he believes is one of the most pressing issues of our time. Jorge's conviction has led him to collaborate with various organizations and individuals who share his passion for a sustainable future. Jorge lives in Lisbon, Portugal, with his wife Maria and their two children.
