Reid Mayo

Reid Mayo was born in 1977 in New York City to a family of modest means. Despite the financial challenges his family faced, his parents encouraged him to pursue higher education, particularly in mathematics and computer science, which he showed a keen interest in from an early age. He was accepted into New York University (NYU), where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 1999. He then went on to earn a Master's degree in Data Science from Columbia University in 2001.

After completing his education, Mayo started his career at IBM as a data analyst, where he worked for five years. He then joined Google, where he held various roles, including lead data scientist and engineering manager. During his time at Google, Mayo led and contributed to several high-profile projects, including the development of new machine learning algorithms and the creation of popular AI-powered products. His work involved close collaboration with renowned experts in the field, such as Dr. Andrew Ng and Professor David Donoho.

After leaving Google, Mayo worked as a data science consultant for five years in San Francisco, California. He has been proud to contribute his expertise to various projects and has been recognized for his innovative approach to problem-solving. Throughout his career, Mayo has been driven by a desire to use his skills to make a positive impact on society. His experience has taught him the importance of adaptability, resilience, and open-mindedness in achieving success.
